I am only one, but I am one. The power of one is all about our significance and our voice. The scripture states that "two are better than one" which supports the whole idea of "Compounded Interest". If we multiply our efforts, great things can be done. We are born to make a difference.

The Little Things

Dear Heart,

It is the small things in life that cause the greatest ripple effect: a word, a deed, a thought, an action. We overlook the small things, in lieu of bigger things. But it is in the small details of life that we find a larger purpose.

God uses "small things". That's why He has chosen to use ... us.

For want of a nail the shoe was lost.
For want of a shoe the horse was lost.
For want of a horse the rider was lost.
For want of a rider the battle was lost.
For want of a battle the kingdom was lost.
And all for the want of a horseshoe nail.

This proverb that originated in the 14th century, speaks of how significant the smalls things turn out to be. What seems minor today could be major in the longrun. It is only in hindsight that the significance of a small matter is realized.

"Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!"
(James 3:5 KJV)
